Force Bush to Protect Our Airwaves -- Speak Up NOW!
Force Bush to Protect Our Airwaves -- Speak Up NOW!

The fight to roll back the appalling rule changes regarding media ownership made by the FCC has come to a head in recent weeks. By mid-September the FCC decisions will become law, at which point we will be hard pressed to make any change. Due to this shrinking window of time we are asking you, owners of the airwaves, to act now!

At this moment there is legislation that enjoys wide bi-partisan support in Congress that will effectively undo most of the damage done by the FCC. But this legislation may not become law due to a veto threat by the Bush administration. In the face of overwhelming public support for the FCC rollbacks, Bush is once again turning his back on the opinion of the American people.

Why? The media industry has spent more than $124 million on political contributions and lobbying in Washington since 1995. Media interests are pressing the White House to block any congressional rollback of the FCC rules.

We need your voice to ring louder than that of the major media conglomerates and their bags of money. Please sign the petition below and urge President Bush to listen to the concerns of the American people and support the efforts of Congress to rollback the FCC rules.
