Is it repugnant that America's 2d Harvest & Salvation Army are kissing up
to Hardee's in the latter's tv advertising? I'm just limitlessly creeped out, especially by the woman from Salvation Army blatantly pandering to Hardee's by saying if other companies would switch to bigger burgers they would get even more donations. This is wrong on so many levels. Implying that Americans don't have enough beef in their diet, and in turn implying that only the desperately poor should be eating small hamburgers. Possibly the most cynical advertising campaign in the long sorry history of television. Or am I just over-reacting again and need to go outside and get some air some time?
1. Still curious; now I'm wondering if these ads aren't running nationwide
If anybody sees this, please at least check in as to whether you've seen these spots. Maybe they only ran in the Southeast, and maybe only temporarily. I haven't seen/heard them lately.
