Bit Torrent
I think we should set up a bit torrent site for dowloads that people post for here.
It would have to be policed, obviously we should stay away from illegal content, but it could come in handy for video and audio clips.

But I dont think it should be affiliated with the site. It should be a third party mirror of some sort.

I am thinking of downloading BT.

I went to http://www.zeropaid.com to download it, and noticed there were several BT clients.

Which one is best as far as overall functionality and usefulness?

5. great idea. some suggestions
1) looking for a client? try Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.com). More insight into the downloading than you could possibly think.

2) I think it would be fairly easy to restrict content, but I haven't looked into running a tracker yet...

3) A central server should *always* contains the files for seeding, or as people drop offline, files will go "dead".

Other ideas?

6. Potential Problems
Just a word of warning: several Bittorrent sites have trojan horse viruses on them. Security had better be high or some neo-con hacker will cause more problems than it's worth.
