I kind of feel sorry for them...I mean, really, it's sad...
They're being mislead into thinking that they're serving a noble cause in ending terrorism and promoting democracy....meanwhile, the people pulling the strings are destroying human rights, supporting dictatorship, desecrating the environment, and exploiting their own blindsided followers, and when the time comes, these people who so loyally followed, thinking that they were supporting a good cause, are going to be left living without freedoms in a nation with a deteriorating envionment AND economy, and they will not have the strength left to fight.
We accuse the people in Washington- and the accusations are true- of misleading the masses. The MASSES, we think, are mislead. But when it comes down to individuals, we see Republicans, people on 'their side'. But the masses are made up of these individuals. Many a conservative individual is the embodiment of the unthinking, exploited masses. Remember Boxer from Animal Farm? Not evil, a hard worker, and finally, too late, he saw that he had been robbed of everything and lo longer had the strength to escape?

2. They gloated when they were "winning."
I feel for them the way I feel for smokers.

3. But that's just a small number of people, right?
I've seen poster after poster here say that the majority of the United States thinks like we do. That means there's more Democrats than Republicans (I don't know where to put those who don't vote) so we've already got the upper hand, as far as that goes. What's the problem? Most people make their own beds..you know...

4. Most people think like we do?
I don't think so. Most people are ignorant of politics. They just blindly adhere to what they've been taught. Both sides. If we don't get people more educated and motivated we might have a problem. Those anti-abortioners have a lot more children and they teach their values fiercely. Also we need to make sure we don't fall to the repub way. We can't just tell them Bush=Evil. It may be the generally true but an ignorant mass is wrong on both sides.

5. Also, a sad reminder of the ignorance...
In my history class we were filling out a worksheet with various stuff. One question was, "Where is Israel located?" Of course I knew and went on to the next question. I noticed that my fellow classmates seemed stuck. So I asked which problem they didn't know. No one knew where Israel was and thought I was some crazy genius for knowing. And some were reasonably smart too. If this is our generation then hope that we tell them the truth first.
