I know I'm not supposed to feel good about this, but...
A local teabagger's business went under...He ran a sandwich shop I used to frequent regularly due to its closeness to my office...

I stopped going there last spring when I overheard him (well, overyone in the place heard him) in this really loud, raging, insane anti-Obama rant while talking to this elderly lady who was a Palin fan...We all know the talking points by heart: Obama was a muslim, socialist, not born in America, anti-capitalist, tax-and-spend, will snatch everyone's freedom and guns, will tax us to oblivion, make America weak, and allow the terrorist to march right in...AND, of course, it was EVERY true patriot's solemn duty to rise up in revolution and throw off the oppressor...

Of course the rhetoric was shockingly weird to my ears until a few months later when the 'organized' tea party bullshit started full throttle...I was going to correct him on some of his more disgusting comments, but he was spewing it so fast from another universe I thought better of it--I finished my sandwich and left, never to return...

I still drive by the shopping center daily, and while stopping at the supermarket there, I saw the normally-full sandwich shop was closed during daylight hours...I walked up and looked at the legal notice in the window, which said in so many words that the space had been reposessed...I went to the neighboring business for a drink and asked matter-of-factly what happened, and the girl said Mr. teabagger owner missed too many rent payments...

Mr. Teabagger ran a very popular chain sandwich shop in a high-traffic, good-neighborhood shopping center...I'd like to think it would be damn near impossible to lose money in that situation...I do feel sorry for his employees, but I'm sure the high school junior wage slaves will find work elsewhere...Part of me wants to celebrate his karmic retribution, but I know he probably blames Obama for going under somehow...

Poor teabegging fool
I'm not sorry his business went under - I'm very careful not to do business with right-wing morons.

2. Yeah, the Teafuckers blame everyone except themselves....
...maybe if he had kept his eye and brains on his business rather than prattle on, unintelligently, about the President he may have remained in business. The Teafuckers deserve no sympathy for their delusional insanity.

7. I've seen a few businesses with political posters, or loudmouthed owners, and...
whether leaning left or right, just about every one of them closed up shop not long after the politics started.

Customers come in for a sandwich, a pair of pants, or an oil change, not a political harangue. Political rants drive people away, sometimes even people who might agree with you.

11. While I don't know him personally
I have little doubt he thinks it is all because Obama. I do however feel bad. With things as they are, I wouldn't wish unemployment on anyone, not now, not ever.

12. This asshole had no business being in business
Sorry to sound crass, but if you run a sandwich shop, your first priority is attracting and retaining customers. Period. That means keeping your mouth shut despite all your inclinations to whine about the black Democrat in office if you're a piece of shit teabagging asshole (and I'll admit I have zero sympathy or compassion for these fuckers given they all came racing out of the woodwork, oh-so-very-concerned about government spending on 1/19/2009 - how horrible! What's to be done? Nothing in the past eight years could EVER have led us to this moment!

The free market forces determined that this asshole wasn't worthy of being a business owner. For once it works in our favor!

Like you I also feel sorry for his employees, but let's face it: the douchebagger probably steamrolled over their rights and dignity wherever possible. Good riddance, and I hope he winds up working in someone else's sandwich shop, doing what he paid others to do. Unfit. Unqualified. Unwanted.
