Letter showing Iraq war planned in 1998
For those of you who haven't seen it or heard of the Project For The News American Century, here is an article that has the letter sent by then non-officeholder Don Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Abrams, and others, detailing their plan to launch preemptive war against Iraq without UN support.

Funny how the rest of the Dems either don't know this or don't use it, as it is public info.

4. That's an interesting article...
Proof that most of the reasons Bush gave us for going into Iraq were BS. They had this thing mapped out the whole time, they just needed something like 9/11 to set their plans in motion.

5. It has to be about oil
This is the last cheaply accessable place where we can get it.
Oil has to be a factor in current strategic policies.

6. ball, crystal, MK1,2,3...
The U.S. military has and has had contingency plans for virtually every area and nation on earth since the early 1900's. Shortly after WW1 the Navy started to plan against growing Japanese imperialism. The ideas that enabled the U.S. to defeat the Germans was first thought about in the early '30's and accelerated when the Nazi's gained power. The success in the cold war was obvious, along with our failures in S.E. Asia. The result of lessons learned during our failures in the '60s is bearing fruit in Afghanistan and Iraq. Russian military journals are taking notes on how the U.S. has had the success we have had in Afghanistan compared to their failure. Iraq will be a U.S. success-of varying degrees will depend on who you ask. Afghanistan will also succeed. To paraphrase Japanese Admiral Yamamoto, beware of the U.S. for it is a giant, I will succeed for 6-12 months, if Japan does not,it never will. Terrorists and the nations that support them are learning and seeing the same results.
