Pat Robertson is a supporter of terrorism and murder
This is one guy who won't be punished, he is responsible for the suffering of too many people. His name turns up several times when it comes to terrorists and mass-murderers. Check this out:

Sept. 17, 1986 - "Can we turn a deaf ear to the cries for material help from those brave freedom fighters in Angola, in Afghanistan, in Mozambique, in Nicaragua, who would take to the field of battle at the risk of their own lives to bring freedom and democracy to their people?"
Exhibit A
Guess who those 'Freedom Fighters' in Afghanistan are? If you said Al Qaeda you are correct, sure enough(I can't find the source, when I do, I'll post it) in that time frame, the Christian Coalition passed a card around Congress telling them to support the Afgani 'Freedom Fighters'
The Contra Scandal and Islamic Terrorism - Now we all know about the Contra-Iran deal. We also know Iran was the place for Islamic Fundamentalism. Now, is it a farfetched possibility to believe that Iran back in the 80's was helping Islamic Terrorism? Robertson is caught yet again helping trouble makers along, this time it's the contras and that went straight to Islamic Fundamentalists.

Robertson, according to investigative reporter Sara Diamond, used his tax-exempt broadcast license to hold a fundraising telethon in the United States for the Guatemalan military and the Nicaraguan contras.(67) On "The 700 Club," Robertson has interviewed Adolfo Calero and Steadman Fagoth, contra leaders; Efrain Rios Montt, then-president of Guatemala known for massive human rights abuses; Jeremias Chitunda, an Angolan guerrilla leader; Ray Cline, former CIA deputy director of intelligence; several Israeli cabinet members, and even President Reagan in an exclusive interview.(5) One of his campaign pledges during his brief run for the presidency was to withdraw diplomatic recognition from Nicaragua and recognize the contras as a "government in exile."(68) Robertson also interviewed a former president of El Salvador, Alvaro Magana, and individuals connected with the Salvadoran death squads. He praised death squad leader Roberto D'Aubuisson of the ARENA party as a "very nice fellow."(17)

While en route to Honduras in a C-130 full of medical supplies, Robertson told a reporter in Miami that "some may get to the contras."(23)
From Exhibit B
1998-2003 - The Charles Taylor regime - Everyone knows Taylor was a mass murderer, but it gets better: "The Washington Post, which over the weekend reported that it had obtained a copy of the intelligence report, said that key senior terrorist agents of Osama bin Laden oversaw a $20 million diamond-buying spree that effectively cornered the market on the region's precious stones.

The report adds that the leader of Liberia, Charles Taylor, has received at least $1 million for providing sanctuary to bin Laden agents in the weeks following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington DC. The men moved freely between a protected area in Liberia, and the presidential compound in neighboring Burkina Faso.

Neither the Post summary nor the intelligence report, however, mention Taylor's connections in the United States which include members of the former Clinton White House, Rainbow Coalition head Rev. Jesse Jackson, and business associate Pat Robertson who is a major religious right luminary and founder of the Christian Coalition.

In fact, Robertson has entered into a special agreement with Taylor's government to operate a mining business known as Freedom Gold Ltd. Taylor, who led an insurgent movement and emerged as President of Liberia following a bloody and divisive civil war, has reciprocated by helping Robertson's ministry organize giant prayer rallies, and ordered the closing of all churches and businesses so people would attend the events. "
Exhibit C
Some other information: Pay close attention to Exhibit C, and ask yourself this question: If you read the full article, it says 'money laundering', and it also says Freedom Gold Ltd. is in the Cayman Islands, why are there operations in both the Cayman Islands and Liberia? Did you know that these two places are great places for money laundering?

Should we freeze Pat Robertson's assets?

...is exactly what Osama bin Laden or Mullah Omar would be if the Arab/Muslim world were the world's biggest military and economic superpower like America is instead of the underdogs that they are.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: if they were Muslim instead of Christian, people like Falwell, Robertson, and secular wingnuts like Hannity or Coulter would be the ones sending Palestinian kids to blow up Israeli buses with schoolchildren or bombing innocent civilians in Madrid.

4. Follow up: Wait, there's more.
From the THE ANTI-PAT ROBERTSON / CHRISTIAN COALITION SITE
That's right, even Pat Robertson has friends. Three of them include the now-deceased dictator of Zaire Mobutu Sese Seko (also known as the Great Leopard), Jorge Serrano, former dictator of Guatemala, and Frederick Chiluba, the ruler of Zambia.

Mobutu was a sadistic, murderous, dictator who kept his country's people in poverty while he became one the richest men in the world. He could have cured all of his nation's ills with a personal check. Under his rule, Zaire was a country with very little personal freedom; public demonstrations were illegal, journalists were murdered by the state, and most religious groups were banned. The US State Department banned Mobutu from the country after he applied for a visa to come to Washington and improve his image.

Why would Pat support such a man? In a word, money. Zaire is a resource-rich country, and Pat saw an opportunity to partner with Mobutu to start a diamond mining operation. Pat started a company called the African Development Company, and began shipping diamond mining equipment to Zaire using the non-profit CBN's Operation Blessing aircraft. Check out the news page for more on this. Meanwhile, he also tried to get the State Department to lift the ban on Mobutu's visa. Many people tried to get Robertson to stop his support of Mobutu, but he refused. Instead, he became very friendly with Mobutu; at one point, he flew to Zaire on Mobutu's jet, took in a cruise on his yacht, and dined at the presidential mansion. Fortunately enough, the ADC was a failure, and Mobutu is now dead after being deposed by a rebellion.

Jorge Serrano was president of Guatemala, the protege of dictator General Rios Montt. In The New World Order, Robertson had this to say about Serrano: "Serrano continues the enlightened leadership of his patron, former President Rios Montt, who insisted on honesty in government and then had every key official sign a pledge that read, "I will not steal; I will not lie; I will not abuse." Contrast this to what Amnesty International had to say about Rios Montt's "enlightened leadership: In just the four months of Gen. Rios Montt's rule, Amnesty International had documented more than 2,000 extrajudicial killings attributed to the Guatemalan army. Furthermore, these killings were done in horrible ways: people of all ages were not only shot to death, they were burned alive, hacked to death, disemboweled, drowned, beheaded. Small children were smashed against rocks or bayoneted to death." Two months after Montt's rise to power, Catholic bishops in Guatemala stated "Numerous families have perished, vilely murdered. Not even the lives of old people, pregnant women, or innocent children were respected. Never in our national history has it come to such extremes."

The story of Frederick Chiluba is also an interesting one. The President of Zambia since 1991, he declared that Zambia would henceforth be a Christian nation. The public school system became Christian-only, despite the existence of a sizable minority of Muslims and Hindus in the country. In response to their need for education, Chiluba simply suggested that they open up their own schools. The national TV and radio stations also turned to all Christian programming. Robertson did an interview with Chiluba on the 700 Club in 1995, telling him "Your country is not only the standard for Africa but for the rest of the world." Afterward, he asked his audience "Wouldn't you love to have someone like that as President of the United States of America?"

Robertson's greed and fanaticism have led him to acquaint himself with a strange bunch. It is apparent that he will befriend anyone who can either make him some money or supports his theocratic goals. How Pat can on the one hand say that he doesn't want a theocracy, and then call a theocracy a model for the world is beyond me.

Note: Much of the information for this page came from a book by Rob Boston entitled "The Most Dangerous Man in America? Pat Robertson and the Rise of the Christian Coalition" I strongly recommend that you read this book for even more details and analysis about Pat's doings.

5. Christian Coalition
Blasphemers, hypocrites, Pharisees & Scribes. Vipers! Ever notice that they claim to follow Christ's example while not being peacemakers, meek, etc. as the Sermon on the Mount admonishes?

8. Pat
This man is an embarassment to Christianity. Perhaps if he spent more time reading the Bible and trying to REALLY understand it than organizing beg-a-thons, obsessing over gay issues, hobnobbing with his elitist friends, and whining and crying about people who don't agree with him, then he MAY wisen up.
