Preachers for Bush list?
I am just beginning to learn of the fundy factor in the vote.

Please list for me the preachers who in so many words, actually promoted bush.

Not just vague conservatism message.

Who are the worst, explicitly for bush?

I cant study ALL RW cases, so i want to limit it to the directly "vote bush " group.

Thank you.

1. Pat Robertson would probably be at the top of the list, and Jerry Falwell
too. Can't say for sure about any others, although I have my guesses; I try not to pay attention to the 21st Century Pharisees. Blasphemers, all.

3. Rev. Billy Joe Daugherty
Pastor of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The church has over 10,000 members and is affiliated with other churches and ministries throughout the world. And, of course, they broadcast on television and hold crusades and religious meetings all over the world. And support missionaries and Bible schools throughout the world.

The Sunday before July 4 they devoted all of their services to a patriotic rally. During that service they showed two film clips of shrub (none of any other presidential candidate) and the pastor told everyone to vote based on the issues of abortion, gay marriage and various forms of religious expression. Definitely an endorsement of he shrub - albeit an implied endorsement. I bought the DVD of the service just to remind myself of all the reasons I would never again darken a church door. About ten days before the election the pastor again devoted an entire service to addressing politcal issues and candidates.

Other ministries that they seenm to have a close association with include:

Kenneth Copeland
Joyce Meyer
Oral and Richard Roberts
Paul and Jan Crouch and the Trinity Broadcasting Network
Jerry Savelle
Jesse Duplantis
R. W. Shambach
Myles Monroe
John and Lisa Beverre
And many others whose names I can't recall....

Angry Old Man from Kansas aka Fred Phelps.
Billy Graham and his many offsprings.
All the MOONIES. (Really, everyone should examine the connection between the Moonies and the GOP/Religious Right. It is very troubling once you know their dark secrets).
Dr. Laura Schlessinger (not a true preacher, but sure can run her mouth on the moral issues).

5. Billy Graham? Really?
I've never heard that. He's always seemed non-political. I've noticed that a lot of big name evengelical preachers are most likely Bush voters (but a lot of them are non-political, and reasonable people. As far as the overtly political ones, Falwell and Robertson are explicit, while others are political, but don't explicitly say vote for Bush (Hal Lindsey for instance)

7. LeHay, of the "left Behind" books
there was a great article on him and * in Rolling Stone several months back. James Kennedy from Coral Gables. Virtually all of the usual suspects in TV evangelism did so, but less directly and usually through their publications rather than on air. Articles like "why america needs godly leaders". I unfortunately have to read a lot of this stuff in order to answer the questions it raises in my community.
