What is the #1 investment strategy I can undertake to bring down BUSHCO
What can I do with my investments to hurt Bushco ? There is a lot of talk here about the rest of the world adopting an investrment strategy to crash the dollar and possibly hurt Bushco with it. What can I do to pile on? All I have is mutual funds, right now in money markets where they do ME no good, but they are not as subject to Enron, Harken, Arbusto types of theft, right?

1. just switch from dollars to euros
it will bring us inflation without growth and if there were any justice, bush would be remembered as the republican party's carter.

sadly, there is no justice and the media will paint him as their fdr....

3. I sent out queries to several banks
Asking if individuals could open Euro-denominated accounts.
Waiting to hear back from HSBC, Bank of New York, and I forget who else. I'll post a message at DU when I find out.

5. You can get foreign currency CDS through a US-based bank - Everbank.
Look them up at www.everbank.com

6. I'm coming back to the States for Thanksgiving with Euro - need USD
What's the best way to trade. I checked with my local bank here and they're offering me a crappy 5% spread to trade the currencies. I just want to give my account an injection, and make sure I have enough money for my vacation.

At least the exchange rate looks good. :-)

8. I've always had good luck at currency exchanges at airports.
They so far have given the best rate. Also, bring a credit card and charge as much as you can. You could also get advances. Works with a debit card too. That way you don't have to put up with the horrible currency conversions of US banks.

9. I don't think
we should be encouraging the pain massive inflation would cause. Who would it really be hurting?

7. I dunno whether it hurts Bushco...
but I moved my IRA Rollover into a Canadian Fund at Fidelity. Damn thing is PERFORMING!

I'm a pragmatist.... I'll do anything to hurt Bush.. but not if it hurts my finances. I'm retired.

I figure the best revenge is a good life.

10. Unless you're a billionaire
I'm afraid nothing you do with have much of an impact. Except maybe make you feel better--which is definitely an underrated reason :)
