DailyKos looking for research on Greenspan
Open Source Research Project: Alan Greenspan

As you've probably noticed, there have been several Alan Greenspan-related posts on the main page in just the past day or so. In one of those threads, blogswarmer Bob Brigham suggested that we "unleash the blogosphere" on Greenspan. It's a brilliant idea - no one is more worthy of having a halo-ectomy than St. Alan - so let's have at it.

Like he said, let's have at it...

1. I can tell you one thing that is public record. His holdings are
largely in certain types of bonds. During the years when the market was rising, and Greenspan would get in the news and threaten to or actually raise the interest rate, each time, the value of his bonds would rise sharply.

2. This thing is radioactive
Read the post on Kos, and then scroll down to see how many people get out their pitchforks and torches. Once this fire is lit, it will burn out of control. Repukes will have a field day tarring progressives with charges of McCarthyism and witch hunts. Joe Sixpack (who does no homework) will agree.

With so many other fat targets, the choice of Greenspan seems naive at best and repukish at worst.

Peace.

and he should have been called on it years ago. I'm not too concerned with anything the repukes do - they're gonna say whatever anyway.
