Who else finds it comical that RWers are now forwarding the email about
how "cheap" gasoline is, in comparison to all the other "liquids"?

Now that the Repukes have been running the show and the gas prices have been hitting the points that THEY threatened would occur under a Gore Presidency (along with the tanking economy and the terrorist attacks and the war), they have been using that (of late - last time I heard it, Mrs. ZBDent's favorite morning DJ - a Bush lover, and I'm not talking about feminine genitalia)!

1. Actually, this seems to be part of the neo-con plan.
The rich RWers need the poor RWers (and all the poor in general) to pony up all this extra cash. And feel good about it!

What better way than to get a viral email moving?

2. Perhaps they (or we) should post a bar chart
...showing the relative price increases between gasoline and "other liquids" since, oh, I dunno... January 2001?

3. One of my right-winger acquaintences forwarded me the email about
Bill Gates paying money to anyone who forwarded his email. I thought it was just him finally developing a wry sense of humor, but no, he actually believed it. And this was recently. I'm planning to forward my next Nigerian email to him.

Repubs will believe anything but the truth. They are what keeps bad car salesmen in business.

4. My RW brother does the same thing . . .
one of these times, I'm going to ask him if he used his $$$ from Bill Gates to tip the waitress after eating his free steak at the Outback Steakhouse . . .

5. I have a Persian friend - and we kid around a lot - but he
says that in the ME the word on the street, especially among secularized, college educated, techie people is "how "cheap" gasoline is, in comparison to all the other "liquids." (my friend is a PhD engineer; his wife dresses "western" and goes in public without a head covering)

The secular, educated, pro-western folks in the ME feel that everybody is getting screwed except the government heads and the oil company heads.
