will financial services ever stop treating Americans like idiots?

There are messages in the latest Western Union ad that bother
me:

" Money stories are always full of drama "
" For all your stories: Western Union "

From this are we supposed to infer that whenever one requests
money they are assumed to have some dramatic situation that
warrants scrutiny by an outside entity? ( I say outside
because W.U. facilitates the transaction -- they don't oversee
the amount or context of payments. )

I could also infer from this that one has drama whenever they
step into a W.U. Therefore according to supply-side logic if
you have money or want to spend it you're being overly
dramatic.

It's past time everyone in North America had private checking
accounts for free, including the citizens of Mexico ( most
folks there don't have any kind of bank account ). I think the
PointofSale should occur on an electronic tablet register the
customer keeps at all times. When they want to buy something
the demander rings up the tablet by holding the unit's
infrared or WiFi interface to the supplier's unit interface.
The supplier gets a receipt for the transaction and deduction
in inventory but the demander keeps all the personal data
including most importantly who it was that bought merchandise.
Once that future is here organizations like W.U. and
cash/title loan shops are history!
