2. Agreed.

Nothing has fundementaly changed. Not one American has found a job, becase we found Saddam. It also sets the market up for a fall. I do not think that Saddam's capture will end the insurgence like the mediea tells us. Liseting to ABC, you would think that the long overdoo shower of roses is about to start. But I bet you the next insurgaence attack will take every one by complet surprise.

What does the capture of Saddam have to do with the economic outlook?

It is a great propaganda victory and a boost to Bush*'s political fortunes. But nothing in the world has fundamentally changed.

Nobody is going to get a job, buy a house, etc. because of this.

It is in most aspects a very superficial event.
