Roubini lecture on the current economic state (dire) + endorsement for Obama's economic agenda.
This first video clip is from a lecture Nouriel Roubini gave on October 23rd. He seems to have turned more pessimistic over the past few days and now sees an L shaped recession as unavoidable.

I think he does an excellent job of assembling the pieces of this economic puzzle into a coherent picture. It's a disturbing picture, to be sure. The talk is about an hour long. Aside from Roubini's mild accent, I think that this lecture is easy to follow.

He also gave a follow up interview with an attending journalist. When asked which Presidential candidate he thinks is better on the economy, Roubini expressed a strong preference for Obama.

1. Isn't L-Shaped Recession a Rather Deceptive Term for
returning to a real, sustainable, non-bubble economy that doesn't run on easy credit?

It works for me in Firefox 3.0.

I can try to find the video on youtube.

ETA: I found a copy on youtube, in 5 parts. The video is a bit fuzzy, but the sound is good.

I had to go back to Firefox2. whatever b/c the new one was unusable for me. none of my shock wave stuff worked. I couldn't read my email... I hate Firefox 3. Plus you can't use Firebug with v. 3.

3. He didn't use smoke and mirrors...
and I loved his last line...I think its going to get ugly.

Finally, someone who has thought about this and what it all means, and isn't afraid to let interested people know what he sees coming. I hope he's wrong, but I'm afraid that he'll be proven to be right.

6. The 3 guys I trust are
Roubini,

Karl Denniger..yeah, I know, he has a dead squirrel for a hairpieces and he twitches, but he is clear, understandable and on target.

And that Max Keiser guy, who is irritating but also clear and on target.

I have been following their information for quite awhile and they have all been 100% correct.

all are on You Tube, and Denniger has 2 web pages.
