THe Stimulus plan has been watered down with tax cuts by the republicans and they still may not vote for it. Tax cuts were shown by Bush's last year to not work (2/3rds to 3/4ths of last years tax cuts were used to pay down debt or were saved). They just want this stimulaus plan to fail. They don't care about the country they just want the Dems and Obama to fail at turning economy.

The longer they delay it and the more they water it down (many economists think this isn't big enough) the more chance there is to weaken the Dems and Obama. They are dragging there feet for political gain at the risk of taking us into a depression.

Go to www.congress.org and email Dems and tell them to fight for it. email repubs and tell them to stop sabotaging responsible government for pollitical gain. Obama still needs you in the Fight.

IF you think this stimulue package is needed and without delay you are going to have to fight (the Republicans) for it.

1. I want the one without the 42% in tax cuts. This one is too watered down
to get any enthusiastic support from me. The problem is that they will have to come back looking for the 42% again in addition to this in a few months. Just how much can this country take on as a debt burden? It's time to start reversing the tax cuts back to 2001 IMHO.

2. I agree with you. I think Obama paid too much for 3 Republican votes. Tax cuts are of little value

compared to projects which will put people to work - (which the states have plenty of).

I think Obama and many Dems were afraid to fight the Repubs. Plus they knew something had to be done without delay (on this i agree with them). so they paid off Repubs with tax cuts. But perhaps without this we would be looking at a fight for a month and economy would have gotten much worse.
