So we are not certain about the recovery because... people do not go shopping
buying stuff that they do not need.

Well, if you, the financial leaders of corporations will start paying us decent salaries, perhaps then, we will.

1. I hope we're all fortunate enough...
...to see our salaries double, and wise enough to SAVE our money and quit being so materialistic.

No economy should be 70 percent dependent on people buying stuff they don't need.

It stunts evolution.

We need to find a new economic paradigm that doesn't turn us into vacuous, shallow
goofballs.

2. Millions with no job and the others losing ground salary wise,
who can go shopping.

There is only so much the affluent can buy.

Hey Leaders, Political and Business, this is why we need
a vibrant middle class. Outsourcing jobs and sending
jobs out of country, has it effects in time. That time
is here. Wall Street, you should listen up too.

4. There will be no recovery
There are only two options from here: deflationary depression, and hyperinflationary depression.

First road, our money is still worth something but we have a monster debt load to pay off.

Second road, our monster debt load becomes a manageable one, but our currency goes in the toilet.

In neither case is any sort of recovery feasible for a decade or more. In the latter case, which appears to be where Ben is heading, there may never be a recovery - we may permanently have our lifestyles normalized with the cheapest labor worldwide that can be found to replace us.

6. Maybe if the CEO's stopped taking insane salaries maybe, just
maybe their employees can start making purchases.

7. There's lots of stuff / services I'd love to buy
Our house needs a new roof, the 20 yr. old central air replaced, the 70's wooden windows replaced - all supporting local and American jobs. But, no way I'm putting myself on the line for that stuff when no one knows what will happen with jobs. Right now, we're just hunkered down.

8. Same here. And the question is: will it get worse
if we delay such expenses?

No, not a new roof. Got that one two years ago, but would like new windows that will also qualify us for a federal energy rebate.

And, it appeared, the heavy drought caused the trees to over produce seeds that cause many limbs to break.
