Anyone know how many $$$$$ are at stake here?

I'm reading the NYT article on cracking down on the secret Swiss bank accounts.

The Offshore Identification Unit is tracking all disclosures of wealthy Americans
who have been unnerved by the criminal case against UBS.

I'm wondering how much of a windfall this could potentially be for tax payers.
No doubt more money has been funneled into these accounts in the last eight
years than any other time in recent history.

1. You can be confident that

anyone who really matters was either told to move their money out beforehand, or was given assurances that their accounts would be miraculously missed by the investigation.

which struck me as a lot smaller than reality. Like notesdev said, the accounts with the real money will not see the light of day. $26 billion is a sop for public consumption.
