1. States don't have any rights.
Pepole have rights. States have powers. Rights trump powers.
Powers not delegated to the federal government are reserved to the states.

It's a simple concept. :shrug:

2. Sadly, I've heard more than one freeper-type make excuses for slavery
by saying "they weren't treated that bad" all while complaining about how taxes are institutionalized theft and oppression. It boggles the mind.
