AP , FORT WORTH, TEXAS
Saturday, May 29, 2004,Page 12

American Airlines announced another price increase for cargo shipments and blamed the hike on fuel prices. Northwest Airlines followed with a similar increase on international shipments.

American said on Wednesday it was raising its fuel surcharge on cargo shipments to US$0.10 per pound for shipments within the US and US$0.25 per kilogram for most US shipments for foreign delivery. The surcharge had been US$0.08 per pound on US shipments and US$0.20 per kilogram on international shipments.
