Journal entry January 18, 2014...

No lights again today. colder than normal but still light jacket weather.

My winter garden seems to be doing okay. I will have lots of cabbage soon.

One of my rain barrels sprung a leak. I have stopped it up temporarily but I have to find a way to fix it. When things like this happen I think about how easy we all used to have it. I'd just run to home depot and get a patch. I would bike over there now, if there was still a home depot to be had. that's the breaks I guess. I think Steve may have something.

Haven't used the car now for over 4 months. Still on that same tank I got last July. I'm glad I invested in those gas cap locks when I did. I noticed someone tried to break into it last week.

The apiary is going well. Got enough wax now to make more candles.

Connie and I have become experts in jarring.

Rain has become pretty much common now here, year round. Weird. Almost like the northwest. People are call it seattle, texas now. Really sad about florida. damn, that really sucks. Luckily so many got out in time. Sad for the others who didn't.

Why do I keep writing this. Connie tells me I should go back to paper. She's right.

beyond that. the middle east well, nothing has changed. Everyone is just worried about whether or not the saudi's will be able to hold on. Not that I care about them, but since their last field collapsed, it's just been getting worse and worse over there.

Well, gotta go. My timer is about to go off. this may or may not be my last entry. Hard to stop something I have been doing for the last 30 years.
