Snow leopard furs seized in ChinaPolice in north-west China have seized more than 100 furs
taken from rare wild animals, including 27 pelts from the
highly-endangered snow leopard.
Officers found the furs in a raid on a flat in Linxia, Gansu
province, after a tip-off, state media said.
A total of 104 furs, including bear, clouded leopard and
lynx, were found, and bones of endangered animals.

of snow leopard furs since the Communists took power in
1949.

BEIJING (Reuters) - Chinese police seized 104 furs of rare
wild animals and several skeletons piled up in an apartment,
the largest seizure of its kind since 1949, state media said
on Monday.
Police raided a flat in Linxia in the central province of Gansu
where they found the remains of bears, snow leopards,
clouded leopards and lynxes, Xinhua news agency said.
