RENO, Nev. (AP) - Republican presidential hopeful John McCain says he still supports the construction of a nuclear waste repository in Nevada as long as it meets all the regulatory requirements.

But he also said at a rally in Reno today that he wants to address nuclear waste by reprocessing spent fuel. And, he added, by trying to find a place for an international repository that may make it unnecessary to build the Yucca Mountain facility north of Las Vegas.
