Of all the Applications - Only Five Nuclear Plants May be Built in the Near Term

NUCBIZ

Sources at the NRC are looking at only five nuclear plants that may be started in the near term. Exelon has publically stated that even with the application, it does not mean that it will build a nuclear plant. With over 30 on the wish list, many are like this.

1. they`ll never be built....
there is no american manufacturers left that builds bits and pieces for nuke plants. there is`t enough skilled labor to man the machines to make the bits and pieces and built the plants. if they are built there`s the problem with manning these plants. last but not least- there has to be an upgrade on the crumbling distribution system

it`s going to take tens of billions just to start one plant.....where`s the money?

3. Let's wait and see what capital availability is like "in the near term"
At the moment I have my doubts whether the USA will be building any reactors at all in the next 5 to 10 years. We'll all be too busy trying to figure out the nutritional content of various tree barks.

6. Finally! A silver lining for the growing beetle infestations!
They raise the nutritional content of the tree and so everyone is saved!
