Remind me never to read the comments section on a newspaper again. :banghead:

Just look around - trash & garbage strewn everywhere . Have some pride , people . I recently returned from Quebec , and the first thing I noticed was no trash or garbage piled up on fences , waterways , highways , etc. I felt those citizens took pride in themselves & their country .

I read about this every year. This year, however, the Gate wrote about it -before- it happened, so now people have a chance to join in! I'll be there.

Great article -- the photos say it all. I hope everyone who reads this article will go out and spend just a few minutes cleaning up a beach, stream, marsh or lake. We can make a difference! And, as straightshooter says, we can take pride in our community with only a small amount of effort.

It's only if you go to all the comments that you find some offensive stuff. And on the first page, only 4 out of 20 are bad. And two of the nasty ones are from the same person. This is a big country, there's always gonna be people who disagree with you and people who say offensive things. Focus on the positive instead of the negative and you'll feel better.
