Sun, sea and sewage in the playground of the rich in Dubai
Source: Timesonline

A noxious tide of toilet paper, raw sewage and chemical waste has transformed Dubai’s most prestigious stretch of shoreline into a foul-smelling health hazard.

A stretch of the exclusive Jumeirah Beach — a magnet for Western tourists and home to a string of hotels — has been closed.
“It’s a cesspool. Our tests show too many E. coli to count. It’s like swimming in a toilet,” said Keith Mutch, the manager of the Offshore Sailing Club, which has posted warnings and been forced to cancel regattas.

The pollution is a blow to Dubai’s reputation as an international holiday destination offering almost guaranteed sunshine and clear seas.

1. That's not raw sewage.
It's Halliburton's corporate headquarters.

13. "vinylsolution"?
You know what vinyl is, right? How toxic it is, even in "plastic" form?

Now, to knock down yet another insult towards my beloved part of the world.

Have you ever been to Texas? Walked on the beaches here? Visited Padre Island, Matagorda or Galveston? Have you ever seen the State of Texas (or the US for that matter) creating artificial islands out over the Gulf of Mexico just for the rich to live in environmentally-devastating luxury?

Dimson is out of the White House, forever. All we have left are a few loudmouthed republicans, easily handled by the rest of DC. You might also look at how Texas is about dead even for the number of Democrats versus republicans. We're actually two Dems ahead of them now. That means the tide is turning. How about supporting us for once so we can turn blue instead of forever with the insults and beating us down for our past transgressions?

It sounds like it was already a cesspool before any of this happened.
