State approves Cape wind farm draft environmental report

March 4, 2005

BOSTON -- The developers of a proposed energy-generating wind farm off the coast of Cape Cod will have to either eliminate or relocate eight to 10 turbines because they now are in state waters, state environmental Secretary Ellen Roy Herzfelder has ruled.

Herzfelder's ruling released Friday says that the draft environmental impact report submitted on the project complies with state law.
