ExxonMobil paid no federal income tax in 2009. (Updated)
http://thinkprogress.org/2010/04/06/exxon-tax/

"Exxon tries to limit the tax pain with the help of 20 wholly owned subsidiaries domiciled in the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands that (legally) shelter the cash flow from operations in the likes of Angola, Azerbaijan and Abu Dhabi. No wonder that of $15 billion in income taxes last year, Exxon paid none of it to Uncle Sam, and has tens of billions in earnings permanently reinvested overseas."

1. Yep...
The rich corporations, and just the rich, get off like this while the average american these days can barely get by, yet they still have to pay their fair share of taxes! This is the kind of crap that needs to be changed, but as long as the majority of congress, on both sides of the isle, are taking huge donations from these companies, they will never make the changes we need. Our biggest problem in this country is the bought and paid for members of congress who do the will of "corporate" america, and shaft the average american who votes them into office! Now that corporations can spend all they want to "buy" these members of congress, it can only get worse!

2. If they earn overseas...they should pay taxes overseas.
If they earn in the States, they should pay in the States. Don't bitch at Exxon for following the tax code. The Dems in Congress have had a year and a half to do something about it but haven't done a thing. They are the ones you should be complaining about.
