Scotland's Upland Bird Numbers Declining Rapidly
NUMBERS of some of Scotland's most important upland birds are declining dramatically, researchers say. A survey has shown widespread falls in populations of waders including lapwings, curlew and dunlins.

Experts at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Scotland are working to understand the underlying causes so that action can be taken to reverse the trend.

Afforestation, climate change, grazing pressure, acid rain, predator numbers and loss of heather moorland are all being considered.

1. Probably getting too damned hot for them ........................
and someday soon it will suddenly get WAY too cold.

Nothing wrong with this picture. Move along and keep burning that fossil fuel, kiddies.
