1. China's 43 new "Dick Cheney" nuclear power plants listed, number and power
Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 08:03 PM by NNadir
Dick Cheney. Nuclear. Dick Cheney. Nuclear...

LOL. Chimpco. What a crock. Dick Cheney. Nuclear. Bush. Nuclear. GOP. LOL. Chimpco. Chimpco. Dick Cheney. GOP. Nuclear.

I imagine that if we say Dick Cheney and Nuclear enough in the same sentence we will demonstrate that nuclear power will go away as continuously predicted since 1976. Or maybe if we hold our breath until we turn red and pass out, we can pretend that this logical fallacy still doesn't exist even though some people have the annoying habit of pointing it out every day:

http://www.fallacyfiles.org/guiltbya.html

LOL. Dick Cheney. Nuclear. GOP.

Here are the 43 new nuclear power plants, number of reactors, and the power they will provide. All of them will be named the "Dick Cheney Glorious Revolutionary Nuclear Power Plant." The cities before them, all of which are in Texas, are just place holders so we can tell the Dick Cheney nuclear reactors from each other. Chimpco.

The following 43 nuclear power plants when completed in China, Bushco, Chimpco, Dick Cheney, will produce in total about 1.3 exajoules of energy. If one takes the Chinese population to be 1.3 billion people and notes that in 2003 China consumed 48 exajoules, one finds that chinese per capita energy consumption is about 37 gigajoules, 146 times larger than an average Nigerian's energy consumption. At this rate, the new nuclear plants are enough to power 35 million Chinese lives. (US per capita energy consumption, for comparison, is about 333 gigajoules.)

They should just starve. They don't feel pain like we do. Dick Cheney Chimpco Nuclear.

Hongyanhe, Dalian Liaoning 4x1000 (Cheney 1.)
Haiyang Shandong 6x1000 (Cheney 2.)
Hui'an Fujian 2x1000 (Dick Cheney. LOL)
Qinshan-5 Zhejiang 2x1000 Chimpco
Tianwan-2 Jiangsu 2x1000 (Cheney...you get the idea. LOL. Chimpco. GOP)
Tianwei, Lufeng Guangdong 6x1000
Yangjiang-2 Guangdong 2x1000/1500
Yangjiang-3 Guangdong 2x1000/1500
Taishan Yaogu Guangdong 3x1000
Jinzhouwan Liaoning 2x1000
Jiangsu 2x300
Hainan 2x300
Fuling Chongqing 2x900
Anhui 4x1000
Jilin 4x1000

Total 43 41-46,000

LOL

2. Imitation is indeed the sincerest form of flattery
:)

Dick Cheney's Energy Task Force - secretive and authoritarian, rewards cronies at expense of the environment...

China's Energy Politburo - secretive and authoritarian, rewards cronies at the expense of the environment.

Yup, no similarities there!!!!!

3. I guess India will be naming its 32 new reactors after Wen Jiabao.
Dick Cheney. What a crock. LOL.

Nuclear. Chimpco.

It is nice to see that so much of the nuclear opposition has been shown to be ridiculous that all that remains are the weakest logical fallacies, repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated repeated.

Fascist. LOL. Cheney. Chimpco. Nuclear. Politburo. Cheney. Dick.

:bounce:

4. India's Dept. of Atomic Energy is highly secretive
arrogant and authoritarian.

They displace landowners against their will to build facilities and uranium mines and fail to keep promises of compensation, employment and electrification.

They employ so-called "glow slaves" to clean up radioactive boo-boo's...

...and India's nuclear power program is part and parcel of India's nuclear weapons program...

5. I guess South Africa will name its 24 new nuclear reactors "India's War."

I am pleased to know that the coal industry is pleasant for Indian citizens to work in and is preferable to the nuclear industry. I am especially to understand the great sympathy rich Westerners extend to the Indian coal workers.

It's nice to see all the sympathy that Westerners have for India and working conditions there.

Coal provides 70% of India's energy. India burned 431 million short tons of coal in 2003, most of it having high ash and low calorific content. Major Indian coal fields are found in Bihar, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh, areas of the world that no Westerner gives a rat's ass about.

I've been to India, and I've seen coal facilities there, and breathed that air for myself. It isn't pretty or pleasant.

I've seen the slums of Mumbai, and the roads between Mumbai and Hydrabad, the belching smokestacks, the rotting plastic. Poverty isn't a game; it isn't a joke.

Oh yeah, it's not a secret either.

LOL. Cheney. Nuclear. Bush.

 Fascist. Nuclear. Cheney.

Radioactive.

It is amazing how some Westerners regard poverty, like a toy for their obsessions, including the non-producing renewable obsession which does not apply in India, except for the usual place, hydroelectricity. This is because Westerners are intellectually lazy and fat and think these issues are some kind of game. Westerners don't know shit about reality.

In most places on earth, nuclear energy is now the cheapest (internal) scalable constant power source there is. Bar none. In India, nuclear generation cost about in 1998, 1.77 Rs/kw-hr whereas thermal power cost about 1.86 Rs/kw-hr. More modern figures suggest that the nuclear/thermal ratio is now about 0.85.

These costs, as usual, ignore external cost, which is what Indians pay with their flesh, not that their flesh is much considered. Nuclear also has the lowest external cost, everywhere it operates of any scalable constant power source , and therefore can only improve the desperate lives of many Indians. It has the lowest expectation value for damage to the environment and to health. The last matter, expectation value for potential damage, has been sealed by something that some Westerners - mostly those incapable of understanding what an exajoule is - frequently are incompetent to understand.

It's called global climate change.

(Few, if any, people in India can afford solar PV power, just as in the United States the number of people who can afford solar PV power is laughably small when compared to all other forms of energy.
Even in the United States, until recently considered by many to be the richest country in the world, solar PV has yet to produce a single exajoule.)

South Africa (Dick Cheney.) understands global climate change (South Africa also understands poverty.) That's why it, like China, with more than 40 reactors, and India with more than 30 reactors, is building more than 20 reactors.

Now of course, we will all hear how South Africa (Chimpco) it is run by the Chinese and Indian secret police in concert with Dick Cheney.

Fascist. Secret Police. Dick. Cheney. Bush. Chimpco.

Cheney. LOL. What a crock. Bush. Chimpco. Nuclear.

  Chimpco. Cheney. Dick. Radioactive. Glow. Cheney. Dick.

:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Westerners continuously need to be reminded of this truth: There is no such thing as risk free energy. There is only risk minimized energy. That energy is nuclear energy.
