Natural gas: a cure for oil's still-lofty prices?
"SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The treatment for high oil prices just may be high oil prices -- with the cure-all being a switch to natural gas.

"Natural gas competes in some of the same markets as oil," said James Williams, an economist at WTRG Economics. That's "particularly true in the power-generation market where many facilities can switch between natural gas and fuel oil.""

Am I just being a party pooper when I point out that Canada's output of natural gas is actually declining, and they are by far our largest source of gas?

1. NG is in decline throughout all of North America...
Of course, the solution is to use tremendous amounts of energy to build LNG stations along our coasts, which should be useful then for about 5-10 years (or less) until the rest of the world approaches peak gas and decides to hold on to their domestic supplies.

2. Am I Just Being A Party Pooper When I Point Out
That diesel used to cost LESS than gasoline - until the advent of diesel cars? Natural gas is controlled by the same people who control oil - and is just another fossil fuel anyway.
