1. That should have been better. Everyone on DU should see this movie.
It is without a doubt the most important movie I've ever seen come along.

If you're not seeing it I'd like to know why not?

I saw it and it's incredibly well done and stands a chance of waking people up from their apathy.

3. I'm not seeing it because it's not showing in my area!
From what I can tell, it doesn't have a huge distribution right now. So there are some valid reasons. I'll be out of town next week, though, and am planning on seeing it then.

5. I have to wait until July 1st
until it comes to the nearest city, and I'll still have to drive 1 1/2 hours.

12. sounds like me
I don't even know if its in South Dakota yet, but I know I have to drive about an hour and a half to get to a theater--a theater that's showing An Inconvenient Truth? I don't even know how far . . .

6. Just got back, in fact.

Material-wise not much in there that folks in this forum don't already know.

But rhetoric-wise it is definitely worth going to see it anyway. Some very clever angles are presented that it seems evident have been fine-tuned to deal with some of the fossil-whore propaganda we have to deal with in the blogosphere.

Remember -- it's important to rescue the frog :-)

7. Sure, save the frogs...
I was thrilled they saved the frog -- as was the rest of the audience in my theater, hee! But (sob!) why didn't that poor polar bear rate a rescue? I literally started crying when I saw that helpless guy try to step on the melting little ice floes. :( (shakes fist) Damn you Al!!!!

(My tendency to over-empathize is kinda pathetic, I know. I have to say to myself: it's only animation ... it's only animation ... )

10. on Talkingpointsmemo.com a few weeks ago, it was discovered
that a frog won't really sit in boiling water. Kind of an urban legend. Glad they saved the frog too though even if he would have saved himself anyway!

2. I just saw the film......Dayton, Ohio.
Ohio Congressional Candidate for the 3rd District, Dr. Stephanie Studebaker, had a fundraising/showing this afternoon! OMG was this a terrific documentary! I took the kids too!

Awesome information. Al Gore is a special soul. O8)

4. A great flick.
By any standards, Gore's flick deserves all the accolades it has received--and more than it will.

I went to see "Inconvenient Truth" on Friday with my better half and her girlfriend. We all agreed that it was one of the best documentaries we've seen in a long while. My better half, who has a tendency to fall asleep in flicks, sat their transfixed the entire time.

If DUer's don't see this movie, they are going to miss out on a unique experience.

8. LOL.... I frequent bush-bot-boards....
where they pan this movie as being the 'lamest worst movies ever' (no... they haven't seen it).

They talk about how bad it's doing (despite the sparse distribution... a point of subtlety lost on the misanthropes).

Wait 'till it hits DVD and they can't keep it on the shelves.
