Link now works.

I saw the report on MTV today, as my son watches TRL every day. I am so impressed with JayZ for doing this! It is the first time I have heard any station bring the global water crisis to the forefront. Way to go MTV, and thank you Jay Z! If I can find a way to contact him to tell him about my work on this issue and how we support this, I will.

~~~~~~~~
My letter to MTV;
MTV,
KUDOS to your station and to JayZ for being the first station I have heard mention this most crucial crisis we face, which is the global water crisis. I am near tears reading this, because I have been writing about it for the last five years on the Internet in the hopes that at some time this would be an issue that would get more attention. I also just started my own blog (http://water-is-life.blogspot.com) that chronicles at least twenty five articles I have written on my own over the past six months addressing the issues of water scarcity, quality, pollution, management, disease, corporate privatization, and the water wars that are already taking place because of lack of adequate potable water resources. I also list other organizations such as Water Partners International (http://www.water.org) that travels worldwide to help pumps be built to supply water to people who do not have it, or are denied it.
The water crisis is especially crucial in Africa, China, and the Middle East, and yes, the global climate crisis and the droughts and heatwaves causing them worldwide that we face now have only exacerbated this problem. Privatization also is a big factor.
However, we do have the freshwater resources we need to solve this problem, save for moral will to preserve them. That is why I THANK your station so much for addressing this issue and for helping to empower people like my son, who is __ and watches TRL every day. This is the world they will inherit and they need to be informed and empowered. I believe it is our moral obligation to do that.
You brought Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth to your viewers, and you are now doing a very good thing by bringing this issue of the global water crisis to the forefront. NO one should be denied access to potable water for life. It is a HUMAN RIGHT. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. And if there is any way you can get this message to Jay Z, please tell him thank you so much for addressing this issue.
