And it is humans who are altering them. This is a very good and comprehensive look at what we are doing to our oceans. This is also important as the global water crisis gets worse and water scarcity becomes more of a problem to more areas around the world. If we acidify and pollute our oceans beyond the point of being useful, where do we turn when our freshwater resources are gone because of the same reasons? Humans ARE impacting this planet. Anyone who doesn't (or won't ) see that is frankly an idiot or a paid shill.

1. I've been trying to screw up my courage and look at it for days now.

In the mean time I looked at those gorgeous pictures taken up to 300 m below sea level off Northern Norway in an area that is being explored for gas and oil exploration. Enjoy while it lasts.

Such a beautiful planet we have... it is heartbreaking to see what is happening to her, especially knowing we have the power to stop it. Apparently however, the will is lacking. What will it take?
