Ford claims Escape hybrid available this summer

I'm having a hard time keeping Ford's story straight. I thought they recently were saying they weren't releasing this until MY2007 (which I assume would be actually 2006).

But anyway, I guess it's good news if it's true. Heck, I might have to take back a few of those bad things I said about them.

8. I'd seen news on it before.

My wife is interested in getting one when we replace her Taurus in a couple of years. The way they were able to get it out faster is they are using a Toyota engine and technology. I'm not sure how much of it is Toyota but it sounds like it has a Ford body with a Toyota drive train.
