U.S. Bioweapons Research May Violate Law
"WASHINGTON - Arms control advocates are warning the Bush administration that proposed research for a new Homeland Security center may violate an international ban on biological weapons and encourage other countries to follow.

In a statement posted on the Internet, three arms control experts say proposals for the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center, established by Congress last year, appear to flout the prohibition on development of bioweapons..."

1. Law?
oh isn't that a quaint concept. I thought you were serious for a second there. That's a good one.

2. People can say what they want to about Nixon
but he was no fool.

He knew better than to take us down the bio-weapons road.

3. Nixon was a war criminal, yes, but no fool.
There was the matter of Cambodia, the matter of Laos, the matter of Chile, the bombing of North Vietnam, but at least he didn't authorize new bacteria and viruses.

It has always been difficult to determine whether Nixon was a worse President than James Buchanan, Franklin Pierce and Warren G. Harding. We now have a new category designated "occupant of the White House which includes unelected usurper George W. Bush as well Presidents Buchanan, Harding, Pierce and Nixon." Creation of this last category relieves Nixon, as well as Buchanan, Pierce, and Harding of the potential to be ranked as "worst." Next to Bush, even the completely criminal President Nixon seems comparatively a great man.
