Anyone interested in buying CFL bulbs through a co-op?
I found a place on line that sells CFL bulbs dirt cheap bulk. Minimum order for the best price is 50 bulbs @ $1.99/ea

Anyone interested?

1. Make sure they are good quality.
I've had some that did NOT last as long as they should have. And they are not much of a bargain if you are replacing them all the time.

But, assuming these are OK, I could be in for ten of them.

2. I am trying to look up the mfr
and other info.

In the meantime, we could just set up a paypal account for this and have one person buy and ship.

I would be in for 10 as well at that price.

3. May be overstock
on a discontinued vendor

I see they changed mfr numbers in their main catalog and the bulbs are at $5/ea.

4. Yeah, that's happened to me before too--seven years they say, and they're
out in seven weeks. Especially had problems with CFL flood lights outside that were supposedly rated for exterior use.

But I've got CFL's just about every place I can put them. Can't use any more at present.

5. CFL Bulbs
I would be interested for the future so thank you for the information. I replaced all the incandescents I use with any frequency (3)with CFL's earlier this year. Luckily, I found a retailer that was closing out an older style to be replaced with an undoubtedly more expensive style. With the days getting longer but without changing any other of my living habits, my electricity bill went down from $30.00+ to an average of $20.00 or less per month since February. I am a single person living in a tiny apartment I frequently describe as a large walk in closet so that's probably why the difference seems so great.
