Casablanca rocked by third blast
A third man has blown himself up in the Moroccan city of Casablanca, police sources said late on Tuesday.

The blast came after earlier in the day police raided an apartment building in the el Fida neighbourhood searching for four people suspected of planning to carry out a series of suicide attacks.

One man was shot dead and another blew himself up during the raid. The third man detonated his explosives near the scene later in the day.

"The fourth suicide bomber blew himself up when he saw there was no way for him to break through the police cordon," a senior security source told Reuters.

1. Raid sets off bombings in Morocco
Three bombers blew themselves up in a Casablanca slum on Tuesday after a police raid on a house in which a fourth suspect was shot dead, police sources said.

Two of the men had been on the run since the early morning raid.

One police officer was killed and a child injured in the day's violence, officials said.

A police source said: "We are searching in Casablanca for about 10 extremely dangerous terrorists, as they are ready like those yesterday to blow themselves up."

RABAT, April 12 (Reuters) - Moroccan police arrested the fifth member
of a cell cornered by police in a Casablanca suburb earlier this week,
a government official and a local resident said on Thursday.

Both denied earlier reports that a bomb had exploded in Fida, a working
class neighbourhood of Casablanca.

Three suspected suicide bombers blew themselves up on Tuesday
following a raid in which a fourth suspect was shot dead, according to
police sources.

"There was no explosion. The police seem to have arrested the last of
the terrorists whose house they raided on Tuesday," a local resident
said by telephone. "It was about one kilometre from their safe house."

Interior Minister Chakib Benmoussa said late on Wednesday he suspected
three to four of them might still be on the run.
