Latest brush fire in Quincy, Mass. determined to be no accident

QUINCY, Mass. -- State officials say that yesterday's brush fire in Quincy was intentionally set.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation says the fire destroyed close to 225 acres in the Blue Hills Reservation.

Fires apparently have been an ongoing problem in the area. The department says about 30 fires have been set intentionally since mid-March.

1. The area is familiar to me

I spent many a childhood summer in the area- around Quincy, Pittsfield, Hinsdale, the Birkshires. Hopefully law enforcement will catch up to the person and put them in jail for a long time. It's such a beautiful area - not to mention those childhood memories. I'm actually hoping to take a vacation there within the next few years just to recapture the kid in me.
