Dangerous chemical (perchlorate) found in water at Mendon, Mass. school
Edited on Wed Jul-25-07 02:22 PM by IanDB1
MENDON, Mass. -- Test results confirm students at a local elementary school may have been taking dangerous drinks in class.

School officials said they've discovered a potentially harmful chemical in the Clough Elementary School water supply.

The water was tested April 10 and officials learned July 10 that it contained traces of perchlorate, an inorganic chemical usually found in such propellants as fireworks and explosives.

The School Department plans to install a filtration system after discovering the chemical in the water supply that may cause brain damage.

"Damn those dirty hippy Liberal Demotraitors that want to force our children not to drink water laced with chemicals that cause mental retardation! We'll take the brain damage before we let them raise our taxes!"
