No to U.S. Plan to Build Embassy - SK
A little Korean girl, standing at Daehanmun Gate of Deoksu(gung) Palace, looks alone but resolute in her fight against the "U.S. plan to build its new embassy" in the royal palace. She is one of the thousands of people who are protesting against the alleged plan by the U.S. Embassy in Seoul to construct its new office building and the apartments for its employees in the precinct of Deoksu(gung) Palace in Jeong-dong, Jung-gu, central Seoul. Parts of the phrases within the board read "We Deplore Korean government for Giving Up Its Cultural Sovereignty." The American embassy is negotiating with the local government over its plan to construct its 15-story embassy building and eight-story apartment building within the royal palace for Jeonsun Dynasty. The protesters claimed that the U.S. government is trying to infringe upon South Korea's "cultural sovereignty" by building its embassy within the "sacred" royal palace.

This sounds like typical AWOL respect for citizens of the world.
