`Radical' A-mei cancels show in China - Forced by Communists
By Chiu Yu-tzu
STAFF REPORTER WITH STAFF WRITER

Taiwanese pop diva Chang Hui-mei (???), better known as A-mei, was forced to cancel a performance in China on Saturday night due to a protest by students from Zhejiang University (????) who accused her of being a supporter of Taiwan independence.

She was scheduled to promote the Master Kong brand of Wei Chuan Food Corp (????) in the province's capital, Hangzhou.

At a press conference held by Wei Chuan, Taiwan's second-largest food company, several hundred students raised banners reading "Safeguarding our motherland and unification" (??????) to protest against what they believed to be A-mei's strong support for Taiwan's independence.

Look at what Jackie Chan's Communist family is doing! I want to be the first to begin a petition to revoke Jackie Chan's American VISA! Details to follow.

1. A-mei fans call for boycott of Chinese stars in retaliation
Fans of Taiwanese pop singer Chang Hui-mei (???), better known as A-mei, rallied online yesterday in response to the cancelation of her performance in China on Saturday, calling on Taiwanese fans to boycott entertainers from China, such as popular singers Faye Wong (??) and Na Ying (??).

Chang was forced to cancel a performance in China on Saturday night due to a protest by students from Zhejiang University (????), who accused her of being a supporter of Taiwan's independence.

Chang was previously blacklisted by China for singing the national anthem at President Chen Shui-bian's (???) 2000 presidential inauguration.

Fans, angry with Chinese opposition to Chang, unleashed anti-China sentiment on chatrooms and discussion boards online yesterday, some calling for boycotts and other saying that A-mei should just forget about China and focus on singing in Taiwan.

Sign me up! I love boycotting Communists! (As long as you include Jackie 'Whore' Chan!)

2. A-mei: enemy of the state
Pop singer Chang Hui-mei (???), better known as A-mei, was forced to cancel a performance in Hangzhou on Saturday night after a "protest" by hundreds of students. The students targeted A-mei because she sang the national anthem at President Chen Shui-bian's (???) inauguration in 2000.

Apparently, this makes A-mei an eternal "pro-Chen singer" and a lifelong "traitor."

With this development we see how the spotlight is shifting in the battlefield of cross-strait relations: Antagonism is now moving back toward the realm of popular culture.

A-mei is an internationally recognized singer who has devoted fans on both sides of the Strait. To sing at Chen's inauguration as a Taiwanese citizen was an honor for both herself and for her nation. At the time, however, A-mei's few minutes on stage resulted in a four-year media blackout in the Chinese media. Now, once again, Beijing is using her as an example to other Taiwanese performers.

If A-mei is an enemy of China then Jackie Chan is 1000 times more an enemy of America!
