Singapore cops apologize for detaining 3 tourists

Singapore's police apologized for an incident in which three Taiwanese women were held in custody for more than 13 hours during a pleasure trip to the city-state...

They told a Chinese-language newspaper on Thursday that they were forced to put on prison uniforms and were held incommunicado for 13 hours.

They also said they had to drink water from the toilet when they were thirsty.

In response to the accusations, Mah defended the actions of the police, saying that it was the duty of the police to investigate all suspicious cases.
