An idea to help veterans

I wonder if we couldn't have a small tax for veterans' health care. Say, everyone who paid any income tax at all had to pay $1 extra. Maybe people in the middle would pay $5, wealthier people would pay $10, and every single corporation would pay $100. There would be no way out of paying it. At the bottom after your tax liability is figured, you'd have to add your contribution. No excuses, no exemptions. Then, the money would have to go into a separate fund where no other program or anything else could get part of it. It would just be for veterans' health. (Of course, we'd have to figure out a way the cockroaches didn't deduct an equivalent amount from veterans' benefits in the rest of the budget.)

And any bastard in Congress who didn't vote for the tax could be listed in every newspaper and on every website nationally. That would show who supported the troops and who didn't.

Whaddya think? Would that work?
