Petition for Donald Rumsfeld to resign

I've created a petition requesting that Donald Rumsfeld resign as Secretary of Defense. As you may recall, Bill Clinton's Secretary of Defense, Les Aspin, was called on to resign by congressional Republicans for his handling of the 1993 operation in Somalia, and ultimately resigned his post. Republicans charged that Aspin had not adequately planned for the military action in Somalia, specifically in not providing needed equipment and logistical support. Rumsfeld should be held to the same standards of leadership Les Aspin was held to. This is the man who said that soldiers go to war with the "Army you have, not the Army you might want or wish to have at a later time," in response to a question about soldiers in Kuwait who had to dig through landfills to find metal and glass to ensure their vehicles were adequately protected.
