Boy, 15, sues over gun-store shooting

By Claire Booth
CONTRA COSTA TIMES

A teenager shot while passing by an El Cerrito gun shop during a robbery has sued the store owner he says put him in the hospital.

The 15-year-old Richmond resident was walking home from school along Carlson Boulevard on March 26 when he was shot in the arm.

The shots came from the Old West Gun Room, a business on the south side of the street. The owner and a customer opened fire at several men brandishing a shotgun.

They hit one of the alleged robbers, as well as Ryan Reynolds, who had the bad timing to be walking along the north side of the boulevard.

"We think the store owner and the customer just started shooting up the neighborhood, just like it's the Old West, and it's not," said the boy's attorney, Steven Plas.

Plas said his client had to have surgery, and it's too early to say if he will recover fully.

3. Got a problem? Get a gun!
That's the way it works these days. If you've got a problem with somebody then you grab a gun and shoot them. It's just too easy.

Intruder kills Payson woman, 73; husband then kills intruder

PAYSON - A 73-year-old woman was stabbed to death by an alleged robber, who her husband then shot in turn.

A man allegedly went to the home of Ray and Annie Friesen in Beaver Valley on Monday and asked to use their phone, saying his car had broken down.

Ray Friesen, 79, allowed the man to use a cordless phone outside, but when the suspect returned the phone, he allegedly took out a hunting knife, said Gila County sheriff's detectives.

The man tied Ray Friesen to a chair in the dining room and demanded credit cards, a wallet and keys to a vehicle, authorities said. Friesen gave the man everything he asked for, detectives said.

5. get your stories straight, guys
This one was already posted. Use those eyes, move those lips.

I love all this original research y'all are doing. But uh oh, not so original. Ask Google for, e.g., pages where that http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/0701intruder-killing01-ON.html appears, and here's where you end up every time: http://www.tsra.com/

Well, maybe everybody else knew that already.
