1. Nice
Is there much hassel getting a class 2 license? Right now my house gun is a Marlin stainless guide gun loaded with 350 grain soft points. I live in the country so if my bullet leaves the house it wont strike anybody elses.

2. I'm a private individual...
so I just have to pay the $5 tax and get my chief of police to sign off on the paperwork, along with fingerprint cards and photographs.

3. Nice work!
Too bad it couldn't have the advantage of using a detachable box magazine like the Siaga while still maintaining the pistol grip and being legal. That's the thing that sucks about shotguns. The shorter you make the barrel the less capacity you have. I bet that fucker will spit a fireball like no other. I just received word today that the BATF cashed my check and in no time I should be the proud owner of a Colt "Commando".

4. I like it just the way it is....
a magazine would make it too bulky. It's going to be a working piece for me, for potentially "up close and personal" situations, so 3 rounds of OOO buck should do just fine for my needs. If necessary, it should give me time to break out the heavy artillery.

I'm betting my wrists will be very sore from practicing with this thing to get proficient...

BTW, I know a guy who took a Siaga LE version with the folding stock and had it chopped down to around 11 inches (form 10 gun). I checked it out, but it was too big for me to store where I'm planning on keeping this one.

5. What is the range on that AOW?
And what do you plan on using it for?

6. Oh yeah Dean doesn't support a Federal ban on pump action shotguns
Just thought I'd mention that. :)

Kerry et al would ban AOWs and shotguns in a heart beat.

7. For my purposes...
0-8 feet.

I plan on using it to shoot anything that needs to be shot a whole lot at extremely close range.

11. Is that a serbu?
Looks like one they make. No offense but I would rather have a good old 1911.

13. Yup...
No offense taken, I like 1911s too, but it's a matter of fitting the gun to the tactical requirements of the situation. 'Sides, it's got other uses too....and a 1911 makes a really crappy doorknocker... ;-)

24. Ah,,,I see.
Your right, a 1911 wouldn't take care of that requirment. A friend of mine has a serbu .50, I think the workmanship is excellent and it is a well made rifle.I have shot five or six rounds out of it. I couldn't justify buying one- 2,000 for the rifle, 4,000 for the scope, 3,000 in reloading gear, shells, bullets, powder, primers. Too rich for my blood!

25. Not only that....but serbu's a pretty funny guy...
have you checked out the website? It's important to be careful reading what up there, since he's got a WICKEDLY twisted sense of humor, and a lot of it is done in jest.

14. Ton's of "Cool Factor" to be sure, but..
true controlability will be a factor. A short shoulder fired weapon, or an adequate handgun is probably more realistic. "Spray and pray" doesn't work in real life, but I guess I could see value in a covert operation, if you were ever in that position.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be able to own one, just for grins, but I thing my Sig will stay at the bedside for now.

17. I was looking for something....
that would blow BIG holes in the target at EXTREMELY close range. Unfortunately, a stocked weapon isn't an option, due to storage space limitations. And while .45 ACP is an excellent round for a pistol, it can't compete with a 12 gauge in just about any meaningful category.

As for my bedside home defense weapon, well, that's a whole 'nother ball of wax. The shotgun is meant as protection for one particular tactical situation.

I love it when the UPS man brings something new to add to my collection. It is not the prettiest, but it has character.

23. Rossi '92 lever gun Sunday
I'm picking up my Rossi '92 (Win '92) clone Sunday at a locla show. (Illinois waiting period and all that).

Always wanted a nice lever gun. I guess I watched too many cowboy shows growing up. The Rossi is nice but it sure ain't in a class with these toys. I have two CMP Garands that I enjoy playing with, but that's a whole other story.

Enjoy your trip to the range. Nice to find other shooters down here that don't scream at us.

Don P.
