2 Drug Counts for Courtney Love

(AP) Actress-singer Courtney Love was charged with two felony drug counts Tuesday in a complaint that specified she illegally possessed painkillers.

The two painkillers, hydrocodone and oxycodone, can be prescribed legally.

Love surrendered voluntarily and was booked by Beverly Hills police, district attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said. (...)

"If she had prescriptions, we would not be charging illegal possession," Gibbons said.

no matter how you feel about her, why does it have to be a beauty contest? Her looks are the cause of her addiction, is that what you are saying?

I get so tired of the looksism inherent on this board.

She's a junkie. She's emotionally unstable, her kid is being taken away from her, she's an addict, and your response is "She's ugly."

Back in 90 or so, my ex girlfriend and I drove a girl to the airport who was going to be the bass plaer for Hole.
you know, the girl who od'ed in the bath tub a few weeks after joining the band.

Wouldn't it be nice if this were a set-up to prove the point that what Rush did was way beyond Courtney's crime, and he should be charged accordingly? And I don't mean to say Courtney did this on purpose, I mean the powers that be who made the decision to charge her.

On the other hand, that nasty little comment about, "If she had prescriptions, we would not be charging illegal possession," leads me to believe that all you need is a prescription, and you can have all the frickin' pills you want. Just as long as it's kind your doctor gave you. Too bizarre.

Maybe Courtney can go to the same luxurious rehab center as Rush.

BTW, I don't think she is ugly. And if she were, I wouldn't care.

I think she's one of America's 50 most ugly people...if People magazine will ever do a story like that.

I sincerely believe that she had a hand in Kurt Cobain's death. She has been nothing but a professional widow and has profited far more from him in death than she would have in life. I am not surprised she is back on drugs as Scott Wieland was arrested today as well and is trying to be the next Layne Staley. It's really sad.
