7. In the words of one K.R. Murphy (whoever he was)...
"There are precious few horror films that couldn't be cut well short by a single loaded 12-gauge and someone with the sense to use it."

5. Not exaactly a choice weapon for home defense
But its effectiveness cannot be ignored.

On a more serious note, nobody in their right mind would use a Class 3 full-auto + NFA Supressor in a home defense scenario. It utterly fails the "Show it to the jury" test, not to mention being far too much firepower for any scenario short of the collapse of society.

8. Better judged by 12 than carried by 6.
But seriously, in my state, neither the rifle, nor the suppressor are legal at all, even with proper federal tax stamps and background check, etc.

Plus, pity for whoever might have been downrange.

10. The suppressor's legal to own
(You're in Seattle, yeah? I'm in Auburn.) It's legal to own a suppressor in Washington, but it's illegal to use it for its intended purpose. RCW 9.41.250:
(1) Every person who:
<...>
(c) Uses any contrivance or device for suppressing the noise of any firearm,

is guilty of a gross misdemeanor punishable under chapter 9A.20 RCW.

By a quirk of the wording, it's actually illegal across the board; no exemption for law enforcement. But the public prosecutors have agreed not to charge any law enforcement officer who does break the law in this fashion.

12. Dangit, you are correct.
You can own it, but not attach it to a firearm. My mistake.

13. Washington State.
Select-fire weapons are legal for posession only by Law Enforcement, Active Duty Military, and people engaged in the manufacture or repair of select fire weapons for legal customers in or out of state.

The poster above corrected my mistake on the suppressor, you can own it, you just cannot use it.
