Police: Cab Driver Kills Armed Robber Cab Driver Had CCW, Police Say
DETROIT -- The victim of an armed robbery shot and killed his robber Thursday morning, police said.
Police said an armed man attempted to rob a cab driver at the Citgo Gas Station on McNichols Street around 5 a.m.
The cab driver pulled out a gun and fired several rounds, striking the thief three times, said police.
The man was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital, where he died.

Apparently the armed robber was a 17 year old who made some tragic choices.

4. You have to take a gun safety class, fill out an application, and in
some places go before a board to answer a few questions. The permit runs around $100 and is good for 5 years. You can't have any felonies, or some misdemeanors on your record.

I'd be willing to bet most cabbies in most places are CCW holders.
