Update: Police say home invasion victim acted in self defense
North Syracuse, New York (WSYR-TV) - The man who shot and killed two men Saturday in North Syracuse will not face any charges. Police say the man was acting in self-defense.

Jeffery Bush was in his home with friends when two men broke into Bush's home on Elm Street around 1:00 am Saturday. Police say those two men were indentified as Thomas Lashomb and Wade Brown. One of them attacked Bush, but he was able to get away, grab a gun and shoot the two men, killing both of them.

Bush’s neighbor, Joel Wardle, was surprised by the events in his neighborhood.“It's crazy; this area is pretty safe, so for something like that to happen around here, that's kind of odd,” said Wardle.

North Syracuse Police say the men knew each other, but they are not yet sure why the suspects targeted Bush at his home Saturday.

14. We know.
You would have preferred that man allowed himself to be beaten to death/stabbed/shot rather use an awful, awful gun.

NY has a meet force with force clause. I wouldn't want to speculate but there is more to the story.

10. That's not what's funny.
It's funny that you thought msongs said it was a righteous shoot. I have no problem with the grand jury getting the case if that's the law.

13. What's with
All these stories about the victim getting away from his attackers and rushing to get a gun? Why risk not being able to get away? Carry the gun W/ you at all times.
